The BHIM logo, a UPI-based payments app, consists of the brand name set in italic dark-gray letters and a signature mark on the right—the Fast-Forward symbol made of two overlapping triangles, orange and green, pointing to the right. In the main version, the tagline “BHARAT INTERFACE FOR MONEY” appears under the wordmark. In the version that emphasizes UPI usage, the layout “BHIM | UPI” is used with the additional line “UNIFIED PAYMENTS INTERFACE”, while the Fast-Forward mark remains the same recognizable element. A grayscale version of the logo is provided for documents.
BHIM stands for Bharat Interface for Money—an official mobile app for transfers and payments via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It works directly with the user’s bank account: you can send transfers via UPI ID, phone number, or QR code, and make or accept payments without a separate “wallet”. BHIM is used for everyday payments—from person-to-person transfers to purchases in stores and online services—and supports standard UPI features such as payment requests and transaction history. The app was launched on 30 December 2016; the name honors Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar.
