The Buick logo, an automotive brand, in its current version combines a graphic symbol and a text part with the brand name. The main symbol is three chrome, elongated vertical emblems with a pointed lower end; inside each one there is a smoothly curved colored insert with parallel embossed lines — red, silver, and blue. The text part is “BUICK”, set in wide uppercase sans-serif letters and noticeably stretched horizontally.
Buick is an American automobile brand within General Motors. Buick Motor Company was founded in 1903 and named after David Dunbar Buick; in 1908 Buick became one of the key brands within GM. The three-part emblem known as the Tri-Shield became established in the brand’s identity in the second half of the 20th century and over time became the marque’s main recognizable symbol. Today, Buick primarily produces passenger cars and crossovers, and its largest markets are North America and China, where the brand is widely represented through the SAIC-GM joint venture.
