The Fanta logo, a carbonated soft drink from The Coca-Cola Company portfolio, is a graphic sign featuring the brand name in white sans-serif letters. The lettering has a proprietary style: the characters have pronounced sharp angles and slightly differ in size, creating a dynamic composition. The name is placed on a blue geometric background that exists in two versions: one with a pointed wedge-shaped bottom and another with a diagonally tilted form that gives the impression of forward motion, as if the word extends out of a rectangular shape. The wedge-shaped version is used on packaging where fruit illustrations are placed over the graphic element. The logo was updated during the 2023 global rebranding, replacing the previous version with the orange circle and green leaf.
Fanta was created in Germany in 1940 under the leadership of Max Keith, when trade restrictions prevented Coca-Cola from importing the ingredients needed for the original drink. The name came from the word “Fantasie,” suggested by employee Joe Knipp. After the war, the brand became part of The Coca-Cola Company’s international portfolio and is now sold in more than a hundred countries, offering dozens of flavors—from classic orange to local fruit and berry variations.
