The Google Home logo — a system for managing smart homes — is a simple geometric pentagonal house shape with a roof and base, drawn as a single line with rounded corners. The outline is filled with a radial gradient smoothly transitioning through Google’s signature colors: red, yellow, green, and blue. In the updated 2025 version, the design became more unified and clean while retaining brand recognition, and the house shape emphasizes the platform’s main purpose — connecting and managing smart home devices in one ecosystem. Previously, the logo was more segmented with separate colored blocks, but the redesign made it more balanced and modern.
The Google Home platform serves as a central hub for integrating, controlling, and automating home devices. Through a mobile app, voice assistant, or web interface, users can control cameras, thermostats, lighting, and many other compatible devices. In 2025, it received major updates: the app was completely redesigned with three main tabs — “Home”, “Activity”, and “Automation” — while the voice interface was replaced by the Gemini for Home model, capable of understanding complex commands and managing multiple devices simultaneously. Support for the Matter standard and Nest devices has also been expanded, making the system more universal and advanced.
