The iDEAL | Wero logo, a co-branded mark for the payment method, is built from two parts: the iDEAL brand icon and the wero wordmark. The iDEAL icon looks like a large “D”-shaped panel with rounded corners and a black outline: on the left, a black lowercase “i” with a dot sits on a white field, and on the right, a rich magenta “D”-shaped block contains the white word DEAL. Next to it there is a thin divider line—vertical in the horizontal layout and horizontal in the vertical layout—followed by the word wero in bold black lowercase letters; the “e” is drawn like a rounded “o” crossed by a horizontal bar, and the two broken arcs near that bar end in semi-transparent gradient “tails” that softly fade into the background. Depending on the placement, the elements appear either in one line “iDEAL | wero” or stacked: iDEAL on top and wero below, while the components, colors, and divider concept remain the same.
iDEAL | Wero refers to a transition phase in which the Dutch payment method iDEAL is gradually integrated into Wero, a pan-European payment solution developed by the European Payments Initiative (EPI). During this period, the combined iDEAL | Wero mark is used in payment interfaces and communications to keep iDEAL recognizable while introducing the new Wero brand; as migration progresses, the focus shifts toward Wero, while the familiar “pay via your bank” flow is maintained and European interoperability is expanded.
