The Ile de Beaute logo for a chain of perfume and cosmetics stores is designed as a Cyrillic wordmark: the lettering highlights the uppercase “ИЛЬ” and “БОТЭ”, while “де” is set in lowercase, in black or white depending on the background. A key detail is the diacritic mark above the letter “Э” in “БОТЭ”, which is part of the brand’s official spelling. This treatment reflects the name’s origin: “Иль де Ботэ” is the Russian rendering of the French Île de Beauté (“Island of Beauty”). On the website, the name is also used with a red outline heart placed before the wordmark; the wordmark itself remains black or white.
IL DE BOTÉ JSC is a Russian beauty retailer in the perfume and cosmetics segment, founded in 2001 and operating offline stores and an online shop. In 2016, the chain came under the control of Sephora (LVMH), and later the Russian stores operated under the Sephora brand; in 2022, the sale of the Russian business to local management was announced, with a return to the historic Ile de Beaute brand, after which the stores in Russia resumed operating as “Ile de Beaute”. The chain targets the premium and mid-range segments and offers fragrance, makeup, skincare and haircare, plus related products and services, including loyalty programs and online orders with delivery.
