The Mitsubishi Electric logo, used by the Japanese manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, is built around the “three-diamond” emblem and the brand name. The emblem is three red rhombuses joined at the corners to form a triangular arrangement; next to it, the words “MITSUBISHI” and “ELECTRIC” are set in uppercase on two lines. In the version with a corporate phrase, the slogan “Changes for the Better” is placed below the main mark. The name Mitsubishi comes from the Japanese words mitsu (“three”) and hishi (water chestnut, also used to mean a rhombus/“diamond”), so it literally refers to “three rhombuses”.
