The Naver logo, of the South Korean search portal, consists of the brand name set in large uppercase letters “NAVER” and is shown in the signature green color, NAVER Green. When the green version cannot be used due to the background or graphics, the logo is available in white and black versions. The Naver app icon uses a white “N” on a green background in a square with rounded corners. The name Naver is commonly explained as a combination of the English word “navigate” and the suffix “-er”.
Naver Corporation (네이버 주식회사) is a publicly traded South Korean internet company, founded on June 2, 1999 by Lee Hae-jin, and headquartered in Seongnam (Bundang-gu, Gyeonggi Province). The company built an ecosystem around Naver Search and its portal: in addition to web search, it develops content and everyday services, including news, email, maps, blogs, and communities, as well as the Q&A platform Knowledge iN. In the company’s early history, a key milestone is often the launch of “integrated” search in 2000, when results from different types are brought together on one page. Over time, Naver expanded into commerce and payments, advertising, cloud services, and AI technologies, remaining one of South Korea’s major internet brands.
