Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The logo of the SBP payment system (Fast Payment System) consists of several multicolored triangles arranged in a dynamic yet concise shape, accompanied by the abbreviation “sbp.” The triangles symbolize movement, digital flow, and collaboration, reflecting the system’s essence as a universal tool for instant transfers. Introduced in January 2019, the logo remains relevant, emphasizing the service’s technological advancement and accessibility. Its color palette features several bright shades representing the variety of participating banks.

The Fast Payment System (SBP) was launched by the Bank of Russia in 2019 to create an independent and universal platform for instant interbank transfers. The service allows users to send money by phone number, make QR-code payments, and set up auto-payments without fees. Operating 24/7, SBP is supported by dozens of banks and continually expands its capabilities, introducing B2B features and extending its reach internationally. This platform has become a key element of Russia’s payment infrastructure, reducing reliance on foreign systems.

How did the McDonald’s logo come about?

The legendary “Golden Arches” of McDonald’s were not originally a logo, but part of the restaurant design in the 1950s — the curved structures on either side of the buildings caught the attention of passersby. In 1962, designer Jim Schindler saw potential in them and joined the arches into the shape of an “M”. Mercedes-Benz: a drawing from a postcard

Gottlieb Daimler drew a three-pointed star on a postcard for his wife, writing that it would one day shine over every engine and factory he built. After his death, his sons turned this symbol into a logo. The three points represent the company’s ambition to succeed on land, sea, and air. A four-pointed version was also patented, but the three-pointed one was chosen for its stronger visual impact. Since then, the core of the logo has remained unchanged.

When the perfect domain is taken, eBay is born

The company was originally called Echo Bay Technology Group — named after a picturesque bay near founder Pierre Omidyar’s home. But the domain echobay.com was already taken (by a gold mining company), so Omidyar simply shortened it to ebay.com. That’s how a name that would become a global brand was born — completely by chance, but forever part of e-commerce history.

The Nike logo only cost $35

The Nike logo — the famous “Swoosh” — was designed in 1971 by design student Carolyn Davidson. She received only $35 for her work. Co-founder Phil Knight admitted that he didn’t particularly like the logo, but that he would “get used to it over time.” Later, when Nike became a successful brand, Carolyn received a gold ring with the logo and company shares in gratitude, which made her a millionaire.

FedEx in “Cast Away” — not a dime spent on advertising

FedEx became part of the storyline in the cult film “Cast Away” (2000) starring Tom Hanks, without spending a dollar on advertising. The company provided props, uniforms, and logistical expertise to create a realistic image of a delivery service. In return, it gained worldwide recognition — the FedEx logo became a symbol of reliability, and the brand is firmly associated with the story of survival and returning home.
