The new Shutterstock logo retains a simple lowercase Latin font, but the “o” is now a stylized circle with segmented “waves” above and below, symbolizing the brand’s expanding influence. The color palette is more universal: the main text is a neutral dark tone with a muted, refined red accent. The font has also broadened and rounded (Haffer), reflecting the brand’s shift from a pure stock photo service to a visual marketplace, emphasizing digital and corporate maturity.
Shutterstock is a U.S. public company founded in 2002 by John Oringer, offering a library of about 200 million photos, vectors, and illustrations, along with roughly 10 million video and audio clips. It actively leverages AI and in 2023–2024 signed major partnerships with OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Amazon, becoming one of the largest data providers for generative models. The platform now includes Giphy, Pond5, Envato, and others. In January 2025, a merger with Getty Images was announced, creating the world’s largest visual content ecosystem.
