The Wey logo, part of Great Wall Motor’s premium sub-brand, is designed as a vertical rectangle with rounded corners featuring a stylized silver element in the center resembling an architectural flagpole. The design draws inspiration from a memorial complex in Baoding, the hometown of company founder Wei Jianjun, whose surname inspired the brand name. Below the emblem, the name WEY is typically displayed. The logo emphasizes minimalism, premium positioning, and the brand’s global aspirations, with its vertical shape standing out for its formality and recognizability.
Founded in 2016 as a standalone sub-brand of Great Wall Motor, Wey focuses on crafting technologically advanced premium crossovers. Initially targeting the Chinese market, the brand quickly expanded its line-up, including models like VV5, VV7, Mocha, Latte, and Macchiato. Wey places strong emphasis on hybrid and electric powertrains, driver-assist systems, and digital services. In recent years, the brand has entered overseas markets, including Europe, offering vehicles with high levels of comfort, safety, and intelligent features.
