The logo of the DeLonghi brand consists of the name placed inside a horizontally elongated oval frame. The entire design is one color—typically dark blue or white, depending on background. The letters are in bold serif font, with a horizontal bar above the “e” as a diacritic mark reflecting the original Italian spelling. The name DeLonghi comes from the founding family’s surname. The logo appeared in its current form in the 1980s and has only been slightly updated since, remaining a recognizable element on all products, packaging, and official materials.
DeLonghi was founded in 1902 in Treviso, Italy, as a family workshop producing industrial components. In the 1950s, it started producing household appliances, and its first commercial success came in 1974 with the oil-filled radiator. In subsequent decades, the brand expanded to include climate appliances, kitchen equipment, and especially coffee machines, making DeLonghi widely known beyond Italy. In 2001, the company acquired the British brand Kenwood, and in 2012 secured the rights to manufacture Braun appliances. Today, DeLonghi is present in more than 120 countries and ranks among the leading global manufacturers of small household appliances.
