The CES logo, representing the consumer technology trade show, combines a circular symbol with a tilted quadrilateral and the name in bold sans-serif capitals. In the colour version, the symbol's fill shifts from bright cyan and lime green to deep blue, while the lettering remains dark blue. A skewed rectangular shape appears to overlap the circle, creating a cut-out space where the two intersect. An all-white version is used on dark backgrounds, while a solid dark-blue version can also be used on light backgrounds. The composition may include the Consumer Technology Association tagline or omit it at smaller sizes. Introduced in August 2024, the identity brought CES and its organiser, CTA, together under one symbol for the first time, with a concept centred on the interaction between technology and people. The name originally stood for Consumer Electronics Show.
CES takes place in Las Vegas, United States, and is organised by the Consumer Technology Association, a trade association for technology companies. The first show was held in New York in 1967 on the initiative of Jack Wayman, and Las Vegas became its permanent home in 1978. Starting with consumer electronics, the event expanded into automotive technology, digital health, artificial intelligence, robotics and home solutions. Companies use the show to introduce products and find partners, while start-ups can present their developments to investors and industry representatives. The programme combines an exhibition with talks and professional meetings.
