Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The Golden Globes logo, representing the awards for film, television and podcasts, consists of the name in thin sans-serif capitals. The primary vertical composition places the words on two lines, while the alternative horizontal version uses a single line. A gold circle with soft transitions between light and shadow replaces the O in the second word, connecting the lettering to the award trophy. Dark lettering with a gold circle is used on light backgrounds and white lettering on dark ones. There is also a version with three-dimensional gold letters. The name Golden Globes refers to the trophy: the idea of a shining globe on a cylindrical base was proposed in 1945.

The Golden Globes are US awards voted on by an international group of entertainment journalists. The first ceremony took place in 1944 at 20th Century Fox and recognised achievements in film. Television productions were added later, and the programme now also includes a separate podcast award. Major areas include acting, directing and screenwriting, films and series, film music and other achievements in the screen arts. Dick Clark Productions produces the annual ceremony. International journalists select the winners, so the awards reflect the perspective of professional critics and reporters covering the industry for audiences in different countries.
