The Bitwarden logo, representing a brand of password management software, combines a blue shield with the name in lowercase Latin letters. The shield has a horizontal top edge, slightly rounded upper corners and a tapered lower section with a rounded point. Its left half is solid blue, while an elongated cutout in the right half is bounded by a straight vertical edge. The lower edge of this opening follows the curve of the outer contour. The sans-serif wordmark bitwarden uses a noticeably heavier weight for the first three letters, bit, than for the thin warden. The i has a round dot, the b and d have tall vertical strokes, and the a has a double-storey form. In the vertical composition, the shield is centred above the name. In the horizontal version, it sits to the left of the lettering. Both versions use the brand’s blue colour. The standalone shield retains the same geometry and serves as the compact brand symbol.
Bitwarden develops an open-source password manager for individuals, families and organisations. Its encrypted vault can store logins, passwords, passkeys, notes, payment card details and identity information for filling in forms. Desktop and mobile apps, browser extensions and a web interface provide access to the vault across platforms. Core features include password generation, autofill and synchronisation between devices. A free personal plan is complemented by paid plans with additional capabilities. Family and business organisations use shared collections to share credentials with access controls. Administration tools are available for businesses, while certain plans support single sign-on and security policies. The service can also be self-hosted on an organisation’s own infrastructure.
