The Digital Ruble logo is a stylized ruble symbol (₽) enclosed in a circle that resembles a coin. The symbol is presented in coral red and white and may appear either as a white icon on a red background or vice versa. The emblem was officially approved on August 3, 2023, and follows the same visual style as the Bank of Russia logo, highlighting the institutional connection. This modern graphic identity emphasizes the currency’s digital nature while remaining recognizable and rooted in traditional ruble imagery.
The Digital Ruble is the third form of Russia’s national currency, along with cash and non-cash formats, issued by the Central Bank of Russia. Development started in 2021, and by 2023 it entered a pilot phase. In the future, it will be integrated into banking apps, where users will be able to open digital wallets, make payments, and transfer funds. The digital ruble is backed by the state and holds the same legal status as other forms of the ruble, making it a core part of the national monetary system and a foundation for further digital economic development.
