The FRANK by BASTA logo features a large bold uppercase “FRANK” in a clean sans-serif font. Above the letters is a silhouette of a dinosaur leading a piglet on a leash — an unusual and memorable image that adds humor and originality to the brand mark. Below the main name is a bright red brushstroke with the inscription “by BASTA,” referring to the musician Vasily Vakulenko’s involvement in creating the brand.
FRANK by BASTA is a restaurant project based on the Saint Petersburg rib chain Frank, created with the participation of BASTA. The first restaurant opened in Moscow in 2019, after which the brand rapidly expanded, opening venues in other Russian cities and beyond. The menu focuses on American-style meat dishes — ribs, steaks, and burgers — and the brand is distinguished by a vibrant visual style, quality cuisine, and an atmosphere that combines gastronomy with elements of shows and cultural events. The restaurants regularly host live performances, DJ sets, themed parties, and presentations, and the YouTube show “Vopros Rebróm” (“Straight Question”) with BASTA is filmed here — a table interview format where guests answer frank questions, enhancing audience engagement and promoting the restaurant as a cultural space. Thanks to BASTA’s media influence and a clear concept, the brand has become well-known and continues to grow actively.
