Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

Mosfilm - Logo in PNG format with a transparent background

The logo of Mosfilm, the Russian film studio and cinema concern, consists of the brand name and the graphic silhouette of the sculptural composition “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman”. The sign shows a generalized image of a man and a woman stepping forward and raising a sickle and hammer high above them. The figures are rendered as a black silhouette with broad flowing lines and sharp angular edges. Below is the word “Mosfilm”, set in dense geometric letters. In the typographic part, the first and last letters “M” are larger than the others, and the letter “s” has a slight curve at the lower ending. The logo is used in black or white depending on the background. The history of the emblem itself goes back to 1947, when Vera Mukhina’s composition “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” first appeared on screen against the background of the Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin. Later, the sign changed more than once in drawing and execution technique, but this sculpture remained the studio’s main symbol.

Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Cinema Concern Mosfilm” is one of the largest companies in Russia’s film industry. The history of the studio is counted from January 30, 1924, when the film “On Wings Aloft” was released, and the final name “Mosfilm” was established on January 4, 1936. Today, the cinema concern produces, distributes, and markets film, television, and video content, provides services for the entire film production cycle, and states an annual production capacity of more than one hundred films. Over the course of its existence, the studio has produced around two thousand feature-length films, and directors who worked there in different years included Sergei Eisenstein, Mikhail Romm, Grigori Alexandrov, Andrei Tarkovsky, Leonid Gaidai, Sergei Bondarchuk, Eldar Ryazanov, and others. In 2024, Mosfilm marked its 100th anniversary, maintaining its status as one of the largest film studios in Europe and the world.
