The KakaoTalk logo, used by the South Korean messaging service, in its current version takes the form of a yellow square with rounded corners, inside which there is a dark gray message bubble with a tail. Inside the bubble is the word TALK, set in large yellow uppercase letters. The strokes of the letters have equal thickness, and the endings are rounded. The sign uses yellow and dark gray as the brand’s signature colors.
KakaoTalk was launched in South Korea by Kakao in March 2010. Today, Kakao Corp. describes it as the messaging service that changed the way people communicate, and the service remains the flagship product of the company’s communication business. It was originally created as a mobile communication service and later grew into a broader platform with personal and group chats, Open Chat, voice and video calls, and other built-in features. Because of this, KakaoTalk continues to hold the status of one of the most recognizable digital services in South Korea.
