The Bancolombia logo, for the Colombian bank, is currently designed in dark gray and consists of a graphic mark and the written brand name. The graphic mark is placed on the left and consists of three slanted bands with a slight curve and rounded corners: the upper and lower bands are shorter, while the central band is longer. On the right is the word Bancolombia, set in a large bold sans-serif typeface with rounded letterforms. The logo is also used in a white version on a dark background. In 2021, the bank updated its visual system: the previous version with the colors of the Colombian flag was replaced by a more restrained dark gray base, while additional bright colors began to be used in brand communications. The name Bancolombia is connected with the historical name Banco de Colombia and appeared after the merger of Banco de Colombia and Banco Industrial Colombiano.

In 2005, after the merger with Conavi and Corfinsura, Grupo Bancolombia was formed, bringing together banking, investment, insurance, payment, and digital services in Colombia and other countries in the region.
