The Huawei logo features a stylized red semicircle composed of eight symmetrical petals, resembling an unfolding flower or rising sun. Below it, “HUAWEI” is displayed in uppercase using a clean, modern typeface. The current version debuted in 2018, simplified with no gradients or shadows to ensure clarity across digital formats. The name Huawei comes from Chinese characters: “华” (hua), meaning “China” or “flowering,” and “为” (wei), meaning “action” or “achievement,” conveying a sense of “China’s achievements.”
Huawei was founded in 1987 in Shenzhen by engineer Ren Zhengfei. Initially producing telecommunications switches, it quickly emerged as a leading global manufacturer of telecom equipment and consumer electronics. Huawei actively develops solutions in mobile communications, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. Its products are available in over 170 countries, and strong investment in its own R&D centers has made it a global technology leader—even amid geopolitical challenges.
