The USAA logo, representing an American financial services and insurance group, consists of a dark navy graphic symbol and a large lettermark set in bold uppercase sans-serif letters. At the center of the graphic symbol is a simplified silhouette of an eagle with its head facing right. Its elongated body forms the central vertical element of the composition, while four broad parallel stripes extend diagonally from each side and curve gently toward the edges. Together, they form the eagle’s outstretched wings while also evoking the stripes of the American flag. The USAA lettermark is positioned beneath the graphic symbol. The primary version is dark navy, and an all-white version is also used on dark backgrounds. Earlier visual identities of the organization featured different emblems, including a diamond-shaped mark displaying the association’s full name. The eagle had already appeared in USAA branding by the 1980s, and by the late 1990s the combination of the eagle and stripes had become established in the company’s visual identity. The current logo retains this graphic foundation.
