The Web Summit logo, representing the technology conference, combines a two-line wordmark with two overlapping coloured triangles. The name is set in lowercase sans-serif letters, with the shorter upper line above the longer lower one. To the right of the upper word are a partially visible turquoise triangle with sloping sides and a taller magenta triangle in front of it. Their tips form two peaks of different heights. In the main version, the letters are dark blue, while the version for dark backgrounds uses white lettering. The coloured elements remain unchanged. The name combines a reference to the World Wide Web with the idea of a summit. Materials for individual events also feature versions that include the host city’s name.
Web Summit is an international technology conference that began in Dublin, Ireland, in 2009. A small gathering of the technology community grew into an event for entrepreneurs, investors, developers, company executives and journalists. Since 2016, the main conference has taken place in Lisbon, Portugal. Its programme combines talks, discussions, an exhibition and startup presentations. Topics include artificial intelligence, digital product development, investment, media and technology’s impact on society. The organizers also hold Web Summit events in Rio de Janeiro, Qatar and Vancouver.
