Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

Black East Fork wordmark with uppercase stencil lettering

The logo of East Fork, the ceramic tableware brand, is a black uppercase wordmark. Its letters have broad strokes, rounded serifs and small gaps that give the lettering a stencilled appearance. The outlines are slightly irregular, and the mark has no background panel. A white version of the same lettering is used on dark backgrounds. The brand identity also includes a monogram of intersecting E and F letters inside a rounded outline. The name comes from the place where the pottery began: East Fork is a community near the east fork of Bull Creek in North Carolina. Founder Alex Matisse chose a geographical name so that the business could establish an identity of its own, without constantly referring to his famous great-grandfather, Henri Matisse.

East Fork is a ceramic tableware manufacturer based in Asheville, United States. It began as a small pottery on a former tobacco farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Alex Matisse and his colleagues threw pots on the wheel and fired them in a wood-burning kiln, holding their first sales on the farm itself. Production later moved to Asheville. Today, its core range consists of stoneware cups, plates, bowls and pieces for preparing and serving food. These are made with raw materials from the southeastern United States, and seasonal colours complement the permanent glaze palette.
