The OM System brand logo consists of the word “OM” in large uppercase letters placed above the word “SYSTEM”, with all the text enclosed in a thin square border. The letters “OM” are rendered in a bolder typeface and touch each other, forming a compact visual shape. The word “SYSTEM” appears below in a narrower and smaller font, with evenly spaced letters. The logo is most commonly used in black and white — black text on a white background or vice versa — depending on the medium. It maintains precise geometry and scales easily while remaining recognizable even at small sizes.
OM System is the main brand of optical and digital products by OM Digital Solutions, which was formed after Olympus transferred its imaging division to a new owner. OM Digital Solutions began operations in 2020 and officially took over production of cameras, lenses, audio recording equipment, and related accessories from January 2021. Initially, the transition retained the Olympus name, but since 2022–2023, all new products have been released exclusively under the OM System brand, and the Olympus name is gradually being removed from product markings. The name “OM” refers to the legendary Olympus OM series of analog and later SLR cameras, and partly connects “Olympus” with the name of Maitani, the engineer who played a key role in developing the OM line. OM Digital Solutions positions itself as a company preserving the Olympus legacy in visual technology while adapting and evolving it in the modern digital era, with a focus on innovation, compactness, quality, and global reach.
