The logo of VOLGA, an automotive brand, consists of the brand name set in uppercase Latin letters. The wordmark uses a bold geometric typeface with broad straight strokes, rectangular proportions, and a combination of sharp angles and rounded elements. The letters form an elongated horizontal composition. The primary version is black on a light background, while the reversed version is white on a dark background. When the brand was relaunched, the historic Cyrillic wordmarks and deer emblem were not brought back in the primary logo; instead, the Latin spelling became the basis of the visual identity. The name VOLGA is the Latin-script rendering of the Russian word «Волга» and refers to the river of the same name.
VOLGA is a Russian automotive brand developed by Passenger Car Production Joint-Stock Company, which holds the exclusive rights to the trademark. It continues the history of Volga cars, which began with the launch of series production of the GAZ-21 in 1956 and was interrupted after production of the Volga Siber ended in 2010. The current model range went on sale in June 2026 and includes the VOLGA C50 business sedan, the K40 midsize crossover, and the flagship K50 crossover. At their core, these are rebadged and adapted Geely models: the C50 is based on the Geely Preface, the K40 on the Geely Atlas, and the K50 on the Geely Monjaro. Compared with the original vehicles, they differ primarily in the design of the radiator grille, logos and badges, as well as selected settings and equipment tailored to the Russian market. Assembly takes place in Nizhny Novgorod at the facility where Škoda and Volkswagen vehicles were previously produced. The project’s long-term goal is to increase localization and develop its own model range.
