The logo of the German Federal Portal represents the government platform for digital administrative services. In the version used on verwaltung.bund.de, the federal eagle appears on the left and is formed by 16 separate lines of equal thickness. The upper section is black, the middle section is red, and the lower section is gold, reflecting the colors of the German national flag. On the right, the wording “Verwaltung digital” appears on two lines in a black sans-serif typeface. The eagle is used not only for the Federal Portal but is also part of the Digitale Dachmarke, Germany’s unified digital government identity for online services provided by federal, state and municipal authorities.
The German Federal Portal, Bundesportal, is available at verwaltung.bund.de and serves as the country’s central information and application platform for digital administrative services. It brings together services from federal, state and municipal authorities, allows users to find information about public services, access the responsible authorities and submit applications online where available. The portal was developed by Bundesdruckerei together with federal authorities as part of the implementation of the Online Access Act. Its continued development is part of the digitization of public administration in Germany, while Bundesdruckerei is responsible for operating the service. Since 2025, Bundesportal has been further developed on the Plattform.iQ platform.
