The current PayPal logo is a clean, minimalist black wordmark. The name “PayPal” uses the custom PayPal Pro typeface, based on the geometric Futura and optimized for digital use. The main logo is upright, while the shortened “PP” monogram is slanted and recognizable in app icons. The brand refreshed its identity in 2024, replacing the classic blue gradient with neutral black for better readability and digital adaptability. Despite the change, the logo maintains continuity with its previous versions.
PayPal is one of the world’s largest electronic payment providers, founded in 1998. It began as a digital wallet and gained popularity through its integration with eBay, becoming the platform’s primary payment tool. In 2015 PayPal became a standalone public company and diversified its services. Today PayPal offers online payments, transfers, peer-to-peer payments, e‑commerce checkout solutions, and business tools. Its ecosystem includes Venmo, Braintree, and Xoom, making it a major player in the global fintech market.
