Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The Bolt Food logo, for the food and grocery delivery service from the Bolt platform, is made in the brand’s green color and built around the written brand name. In the horizontal version, the words Bolt Food are placed on one line and set in large bold sans-serif letters. In the Bolt part, the main feature of the primary logo is preserved: the letter “o” is shaped as a circle with a circular cutout in the center, and the dot below it repeats the shape of that cutout and looks like a part of the letter moved downward. A vertical version is also used, with Bolt placed above Food, as well as an app icon with a white logo on the brand’s green background. Depending on the background and medium, the logo can be used in green, white, or black.

Bolt Food is a food and grocery delivery service within the ecosystem of the Estonian technology company Bolt Technology OÜ. Through Bolt Food, users can order meals from restaurants, groceries, and goods from stores with courier delivery. The service is connected with the wider Bolt platform, which also develops ride-hailing, e-scooter and e-bike rentals, car-sharing, delivery through Bolt Food, and the grocery service Bolt Market. Bolt was founded in 2013 in Tallinn by Markus Villig, and Bolt Food appeared after the company expanded beyond transport services.

The Nike logo — the famous “Swoosh” — was designed in 1971 by design student Carolyn Davidson. She received only $35 for her work. Co-founder Phil Knight admitted that he didn’t particularly like the logo, but that he would “get used to it over time.” Later, when Nike became a successful brand, Carolyn received a gold ring with the logo and company shares in gratitude, which made her a millionaire.

How did the McDonald’s logo come about?

The legendary “Golden Arches” of McDonald’s were not originally a logo, but part of the restaurant design in the 1950s — the curved structures on either side of the buildings caught the attention of passersby. In 1962, designer Jim Schindler saw potential in them and joined the arches into the shape of an “M”. How Salvador Dalí created the Chupa Chups logo

In 1969, the Spanish artist Salvador Dalí, at the request of Chupa Chups founder Enric Bernat, sketched the idea for the future logo on a newspaper page in less than an hour during a lunch meeting.
