The logo of Deutsche Telekom, a telecommunications company, consists of the brand’s signature “T” and two small squares, one on each side. The symbol is used in the brand’s Magenta color, while a white version is used on colored backgrounds. This configuration is known as 1-T-1, or Digit-T-Digit. The letter “T” comes from the name Deutsche Bundespost Telekom, which had been used since 1990, and in 1995 it became the corporate symbol of the newly established Deutsche Telekom AG. The previous version featured at least four small squares around the “T”, known as Digits, which represented the company’s services visually. In 2022, the symbol was updated as part of the transition to a unified international brand system: the number of squares was reduced to two, the “T” was made more compact, its curves were reworked, and its upper section, vertical stroke, and base were strengthened. Deutsche Telekom associates the “T” with strong connections, trust, and optimism, while Magenta remains one of the core elements of the company’s visual identity.
