The EAC mark, used for product circulation on the EAEU market, is a text mark made of three geometrically constructed letters. The letters E, A and C have the same height, fit into a square form and are made with straight angles. The mark is built on a single modular grid: the letter shapes are assembled from identical square cells, so the vertical and horizontal parts have equal thickness. The spacing between the letters equals one module, that is, the stroke thickness of the symbols themselves. In its basic version, EAC is applied in one color and must contrast with the surface on which it is placed. The abbreviation EAC stands for Eurasian Conformity, meaning “Eurasian conformity”.
EAC is an official mark showing that a product has passed the required conformity assessment or conformity confirmation procedures and meets the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union. The marking is applied to products, packaging or accompanying documentation before goods are released onto the EAEU market. The Eurasian Economic Union includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, so the EAC mark is important for manufacturers, suppliers and importers working with these countries. It is used on a wide range of goods, from packaging and household appliances to equipment, children’s products, clothing, cosmetics and other products covered by technical regulation requirements.
