The Microsoft Edge browser logo features the letter “e” in the shape of a smooth wave enclosed within a circular outline, rendered in a gradient of blue, turquoise, and green tones. This design has been in use since 2019, following the browser’s transition to the Chromium engine. The new mark visually departs from the former Internet Explorer style and is designed in line with Microsoft’s Fluent Design system. Its wave-like form merges letter and motion, maintaining recognizability while reflecting the browser’s evolution.
Microsoft Edge was launched in 2015 as the successor to Internet Explorer. At first, it featured a logo with a stylized “e” echoing the previous browser—but without the ring and with a refreshed visual style. After the switch to Chromium in 2019, Edge received a redesigned logo fully reimagined. The browser is integrated into Windows, available on multiple operating systems, and positioned as a secure, fast, and standards‑compliant browser supporting modern web technologies.
