Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The logo of Eni, an Italian energy company, consists of the brand name and a brand symbol positioned to the right, featuring a six-legged dog. The name is set in rounded lowercase sans-serif letters. The dog is depicted with six legs, its head turned backward, and a flame coming from its mouth. In the current visual identity, the entire logo can be rendered in the brand’s signature yellow color, while a white version is provided for dark backgrounds. The six-legged dog first appeared in 1952 following a competition that received more than 4,000 submissions. The design was created by sculptor Luigi Broggini, who submitted his work under the pseudonym Giuseppe Guzzi. The image is associated with friendship, loyalty, strength, and a focus on the future. In 1972, Bob Noorda redesigned the symbol, making the dog shorter and less aggressive and placing it inside a frame. In 1998, he updated the visual identity again, combining the symbol and the Eni name into a single composition. In the 2009 redesign, the dog became more elongated and extended beyond the boundaries of the former yellow field. The name Eni was originally an abbreviation of Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi — “National Hydrocarbons Authority” — the name under which the company was established in 1953.

Eni S.p.A. is an Italian integrated energy company with international operations, founded in 1953 as the state-owned organization Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi under the leadership of Enrico Mattei. Today, Eni operates across the entire energy value chain, including oil and natural gas exploration and production, raw material processing, the production and sale of energy products, petrochemicals, and chemicals. At the same time, the company is developing solar and wind energy, biofuels, biochemistry, carbon capture and storage technologies, and research into fusion energy. Eni operates in 62 countries, and the group employs around 32,000 people. The company’s registered office is in Rome.
