The Itaú Unibanco logo, for a Brazilian bank and financial group, consists of the short name itaú inside a square shape with strongly rounded corners and softly curved sides. The letters are lowercase, large, and bold, with rounded forms and tight spacing. The main version is built on the contrast between the brand’s orange background and white lettering. A reverse version with orange lettering on a white shape is also used. In its current form, the mark has become more unified and rounded: the letter details have changed, custom typography has been introduced, while the short itaú name and the brand’s recognizable square shape have remained the foundation.
Itaú Unibanco S.A. is Brazil’s largest private bank, formed in 2008 after the merger of Banco Itaú and Unibanco. The company operates in retail and corporate banking, credit cards, investments, insurance, asset management, digital services, and financial solutions for individual clients, businesses, and large organizations. The history of Itaú as a banking brand goes back to Banco Itaú S.A., and in 1973 the bank adopted the name Banco Itaú and a logo that became the basis of the brand’s recognizable visual system. Today, Itaú Unibanco is based in São Paulo, operates in Brazil and international markets, and remains one of the key financial institutions in Latin America.
