Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The Kappa logo, representing a sportswear and footwear brand, is based on the distinctive Omini symbol — two human figures sitting back to back. Their silhouettes meet in the center and form a symmetrical composition. The symbol is often used on its own without the brand name, especially on clothing, footwear and accessories. It can appear as an outlined version or as a solid single-color silhouette, including red, black or white. In the full version, the Kappa name appears alongside the symbol in a large bold sans-serif typeface. In the horizontal layout, Omini is positioned to the left of the name, while in the vertical layout it appears above it. The history of the symbol began in 1969 during a Beatrix swimwear photo shoot, when a man and a woman were accidentally photographed sitting back to back while backlit. The resulting silhouette became the basis of the future emblem. In 1978, the name Kappa Sport was added, the word Sport was later removed, and in 1994 the recognizable white version with a red outline appeared. The name Kappa itself is linked to the letter K, which was used after product quality problems to mark items that had passed an additional inspection, with the K derived from the German term “Kontroll”.

Kappa is an Italian brand of sportswear, casual clothing, footwear and accessories whose history began in Turin. Its origins are linked to Calzificio Torinese, a company founded in 1916 that initially produced socks and underwear. The Robe di Kappa and Kappa brands later emerged from this business, while the sports division became particularly well known through partnerships with football clubs and other professional teams. Today, Kappa produces sportswear, equipment, footwear, accessories and casual collections, while the Omini symbol remains the main element of the brand’s visual identity and is widely used separately from the name. Kappa is part of the BasicNet system, which develops an international network of brands, licenses and partners, while Kappa S.r.l. operates under the management and coordination of BasicNet S.p.A.
