SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

Logo of the MOEX stock exchange is designed as a combined mark based on the abbreviation MOEX, derived from the English name Moscow Exchange. The main visual element is a red rectangular block with a cut-out at the top, inside which the word MOEX is set in bold white uppercase letters. In extended versions of the logo, the abbreviation is accompanied by the text Moscow Exchange or «Московская биржа», written in uppercase letters and placed separately from the graphic block. The logo is used in both Russian-language and English-language versions, maintaining a unified construction principle and color scheme.

Moscow Exchange (MOEX) is the largest exchange group in Russia, providing trading infrastructure for equities, bonds, currencies, derivatives, and the money market. The company was formed in 2011 through the merger of MICEX and RTS, which consolidated key exchange operations on a single technological platform. MOEX also operates clearing and depository institutions, serves banks, brokers, institutional and retail investors, and plays a central role in the functioning of the Russian capital market.

How the Guinness beer brand is connected to the Book of Records

The connection between the Guinness beer brand and the Book of Records dates back to the early 1950s. Brewery manager Sir Hugh Beaver proposed creating a reference guide to settle record-related disputes that often arose in pubs. In 1955, the first edition of Guinness World Records was published, originally conceived as a promotional project. Over time, the book of records became an independent international brand, no longer legally connected to Guinness beer.

Interesting fact about the Apple logo

The first Apple logo, depicting Newton under an apple tree, was created in 1976 by company co-founder Ronald Wayne. However, in 1977, the now-famous bitten apple logo appeared, designed by graphic designer Rob Janoff. Rob received about $500 for his work — and no royalties, even though the logo became one of the most recognizable in the world.

The Nike logo only cost $35

The Nike logo — the famous “Swoosh” — was designed in 1971 by design student Carolyn Davidson. She received only $35 for her work. Co-founder Phil Knight admitted that he didn’t particularly like the logo, but that he would “get used to it over time.” Later, when Nike became a successful brand, Carolyn received a gold ring with the logo and company shares in gratitude, which made her a millionaire.

FedEx in “Cast Away” — not a dime spent on advertising

FedEx became part of the storyline in the cult film “Cast Away” (2000) starring Tom Hanks, without spending a dollar on advertising. The company provided props, uniforms, and logistical expertise to create a realistic image of a delivery service. In return, it gained worldwide recognition — the FedEx logo became a symbol of reliability, and the brand is firmly associated with the story of survival and returning home.

The world’s first automatic electric kettle
