Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The Nova Trading logo for a company operating in the supply and processing of stainless steel, aluminum, and copper consists of a graphic symbol and a wordmark. On the left there is a flat silhouette of a walking rhinoceros, and on the right the brand name “NOVA TRADING” set in uppercase serif letters. In corporate use, the logo appears in black or white depending on the background, keeping the “rhino + name” composition.

Nova Trading S.A. is a Polish company founded in 1990, headquartered in Toruń, with branches in Warsaw, Łódź, Jaworzno, Gdańsk, and Bremgarten (Switzerland). Its core business is metal product distribution and service processing: the company develops a service center and performs operations such as slitting coils into sheets and strips, grinding and brushing sheets and coils, shearing sheets, applying protective film, as well as grinding and mirror polishing of tubes and bars. The group also develops manufacturing lines: Nova Metale was launched in 2019, and in 2023 the manufacturing unit MCM / Metal Components Manufacturer was established, specializing in producing components and finished products from stainless steel and aluminum for industry.

FedEx in “Cast Away” — not a dime spent on advertising

FedEx became part of the storyline in the cult film “Cast Away” (2000) starring Tom Hanks, without spending a dollar on advertising. The company provided props, uniforms, and logistical expertise to create a realistic image of a delivery service. In return, it gained worldwide recognition — the FedEx logo became a symbol of reliability, and the brand is firmly associated with the story of survival and returning home.

A little secret of the Ford logo

The Ford logo, with its iconic blue oval and elegant script, was first used in 1907. Here’s a fun fact: the famous handwritten font associated with the brand wasn’t actually created by Henry Ford himself, but by a company designer who simply copied his autograph! So every time you see the Ford logo, you’re looking at the “handwriting” of someone who never imagined it would become so iconic.

The Nike logo only cost $35

The Nike logo — the famous “Swoosh” — was designed in 1971 by design student Carolyn Davidson. She received only $35 for her work. Co-founder Phil Knight admitted that he didn’t particularly like the logo, but that he would “get used to it over time.” Later, when Nike became a successful brand, Carolyn received a gold ring with the logo and company shares in gratitude, which made her a millionaire.

Interesting fact about the Apple logo

The first Apple logo, depicting Newton under an apple tree, was created in 1976 by company co-founder Ronald Wayne. However, in 1977, the now-famous bitten apple logo appeared, designed by graphic designer Rob Janoff. Rob received about $500 for his work — and no royalties, even though the logo became one of the most recognizable in the world.

How did the McDonald’s logo come about?

The legendary “Golden Arches” of McDonald’s were not originally a logo, but part of the restaurant design in the 1950s — the curved structures on either side of the buildings caught the attention of passersby. In 1962, designer Jim Schindler saw potential in them and joined the arches into the shape of an “M”.
