The current Novo Nordisk logo, used by the Danish pharmaceutical company, consists of a graphic symbol on the left and the wordmark “novo” on the right. The graphic symbol depicts a flat silhouette of the Apis bull in profile, facing right, with cutouts within the silhouette and several short stripes on the body. An eye is marked on the head, and a large round sun disk is positioned between the horns. The name “novo” is set in lowercase sans-serif letters drawn with strokes of equal thickness. The letter n is shaped like a broad arch, while the other letters follow the same simple geometric style. The symbol and wordmark are rendered in a single deep blue color, with a white version used on dark backgrounds. The company has used the image of the Apis bull since 1925, and it derives from an ancient Egyptian depiction of the sacred bull. When the brand identity was updated in 2026, the graphic was simplified and the former full Novo Nordisk wordmark was replaced in the logo by the shorter “novo”.
