The logo of the online cinema Okko features the brand name written in a modern rounded sans-serif font, with the key element being the first letter “O” topped by three small dots — a distinctive symbol the company calls the “paw.” This element was created by the British agency Spin and refined in collaboration with the Russian agency W12 during a 2017 rebranding. It visually resembles a loading indicator, reflecting the technological nature and connection to the digital multimedia environment. Along with the introduction of a rich purple color and glass effect, the logo gained a modern and expressive look, emphasizing the platform’s media focus.
Okko is a Russian online cinema, launched in 2011 under the name Yota Play, later renamed Okko, and has become one of the largest VOD services in Russia. The service is available on Smart TVs, mobile devices (iOS and Android), game consoles, and web browsers; its monthly audience reaches about 17 million users. The company offers movies and series in resolutions up to UHD/4K and HDR, ad-free, via subscription or rental, with content from leading studios such as Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount, and Universal, as well as themed packages like Amediateka, children’s, and auteur content. In 2018, Okko joined Rambler Group and later became part of the Sberbank ecosystem. In 2022, management was transferred to the company “Novye Vozmozhnosti” (New Opportunities). In 2019, the service’s revenue nearly doubled to about 3.65 billion rubles, with over 40 million registered users since launch.
