Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The Plaid logo, for an American fintech company and financial data connectivity platform, consists of a geometric brand mark and a wordmark. The mark is dark gray and built as an interwoven pattern of wide diagonal lines that cross each other and form diamond-shaped openings inside. The outer contour of the mark is close to an octagonal shape. Next to it is the word PLAID, set in large uppercase sans-serif letters, with even stroke thickness and compact geometric letterforms. For dark backgrounds, the logo can be used in white. The name Plaid is connected with a checkered pattern: the founders noticed that a working algorithm sketch on a board resembled this kind of interwoven pattern.

Plaid Inc. is an American technology company from San Francisco, founded by Zach Perret and William Hockey in 2013.
