The current 2026 version of the Qwen logo for Alibaba’s family of artificial intelligence models consists of a graphic symbol and the brand name. The symbol is made up of three flat blue angular elements arranged in a circular pattern and joined into a single composition. Together, they create an overall shape with an approximately hexagonal outer contour, leaving a triangular empty space at the center. The geometry of the new symbol is based on the previous Qwen logo, but instead of interlocking three-dimensional forms, shades of blue and purple, and light-and-shadow effects, it now uses three flat, single-color elements. The Qwen name appears next to the symbol in a dark sans-serif typeface. The graphic symbol can also be used on its own. Qwen is the international name of the model family also known as Tongyi Qianwen.
Qwen is a Chinese family of large language and multimodal artificial intelligence models developed by Alibaba. The first Tongyi Qianwen model was introduced by Alibaba Cloud in April 2023, and in August of the same year the company made the first Qwen and Qwen Chat models available with publicly released weights. The family gradually expanded beyond language models to systems capable of working with code, images, video, audio and speech, as well as models for image generation and editing. Qwen is available through Alibaba’s own services and APIs, while many models in the family are released with open weights for developers and researchers around the world.
