The TotalEnergies logo, created by an international energy company, is designed as a graphic symbol that merges the letters “T” and “E” into a single smooth shape. This shape resembles a continuous ribbon that curves and connects both letters within one contour. The ribbon features a seamless gradient — transitioning from red toward blue, then green, and finally yellow. Below the graphic element is the company name, written as a single word in red sans-serif type without a space between “Total” and “Energies”. This symbol was introduced during the 2021 rebranding, when the company adopted the name TotalEnergies to visually express the shift from an oil-and-gas model to a multi-energy approach, combining traditional and new energy sources within one concept.
TotalEnergies SE was founded in 1924 as Compagnie française des pétroles (CFP) and has grown into one of the world’s largest integrated energy companies. Today it operates across the entire energy chain: oil and gas exploration and production, refining, petrochemicals, liquefied natural gas, power generation, solar and wind projects, hydrogen solutions and energy infrastructure. The company is present in more than 120 countries and manages a network of service stations, terminals and electricity assets. During the rebranding, TotalEnergies announced a strategy to reduce its carbon footprint and diversify its energy portfolio, aiming to expand more sustainable and low-carbon energy sources.
