Logo of the WeChat Pay payment service is presented as a combination of a proprietary graphic symbol and a textual brand name. In the current version, a green icon in the shape of a chat bubble is used, featuring a cut-out in the form of a check mark inside. This visual element inherits the imagery of the core WeChat brand and serves as the primary identifier of the payment function within the ecosystem. The textual part includes the Latin name «WeChat Pay», set in a thin sans-serif typeface, as well as the Chinese characters «微信支付», which appear in official logo versions for the domestic market and in combined variants. Depending on the medium, the logo is used in horizontal or vertical layout, or as a standalone icon without text, while the green chat bubble with the check-shaped cut-out remains a constant element of the brand identity.
WeChat Pay is a digital payment service launched in 2013 as part of the WeChat ecosystem owned by the Chinese technology company Tencent. Initially created as a cashless payment tool within the messenger, the service quickly gained widespread adoption in China. WeChat Pay supports peer-to-peer transfers, payments for goods and services, QR code payments, online and offline transactions, as well as integration with business services and government platforms. Over time, the system expanded beyond the domestic market and began to be used internationally, primarily in tourism and retail scenarios. Today, WeChat Pay is one of the largest payment platforms in the world and occupies a key position in WeChat’s digital financial infrastructure.
