Where and how can I use it?

SVG format

It’s a lightweight vector format (in kilobytes) that’s ideal for use on websites, in mobile apps, and for print. Thanks to its scalability to any size without loss of quality, it can be scaled from the size of an icon to a banner on a building. The file is easily editable in popular graphics editors such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and others, and opens in Photoshop without any issues.

PNG format

It’s a raster format with support for transparent backgrounds, making it ideal for use on websites, web graphics, in presentations, documents, and social media. PNG preserves high image quality at its original size, but may lose sharpness and become blurred when enlarged. The file easily opens and is used in popular editors such as Photoshop, GIMP, Canva, Figma, and most standard image viewers.

The WordPress logo of the website management system consists of a capital letter «W» with serifs, enclosed in a circular frame, which can have a background inside the circle or be without it. Next to the circular symbol, the WordPress inscription is usually placed in the same serif font. The distinctive feature of the letter «W» is that the right side ends in a smooth droplet, making the symbol easily recognizable and applicable on various media.

The WordPress platform was created in 2003 by developers Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little as a fork of the b2/cafelog system, with the goal of creating a more flexible, convenient, and open platform for blogging and website management. Released under the GPL v2 license, WordPress provides free access to its source code, allowing the global developer community to improve and adapt the system for different needs. Today, WordPress is used on millions of websites — from personal blogs to large online stores and corporate portals — supported by the WordPress Foundation together with the commercial service Automattic, and remains one of the leading CMS platforms, offering a full set of tools for creating, managing, and promoting web projects. The WordPress ecosystem actively supports developers, designers, and users by providing themes, plugins, and educational resources, making the platform one of the most accessible and versatile for any web project.
