The current YooMoney logo of the Russian electronic payment service consists of a brand symbol and a text element. The symbol is purple and is built around a stylized Cyrillic letter “Ю”: on the left there is a wide wedge-shaped vertical stroke, and on the right it is joined by a large thick ring. In the full version, the word “money” is added to the symbol in dark lowercase letters. For purple, dark, and bright backgrounds, a fully white version of the logo is used, while on a light background the “Ю” remains purple and “money” stays dark. The service has used this name and symbol since the 2020 rebrand, when Yandex.Money was renamed YooMoney.
YooMoney is a payment service whose history began in 2002 under the Yandex.Money brand. After 100% of the company’s shares were transferred to Sberbank in July 2020, the service joined the Sber ecosystem and adopted the YooMoney brand. Through YooMoney, users can use an e-wallet, pay for goods and services, send and receive money, and issue virtual and physical cards with a shared balance. For businesses, the ecosystem also includes YooKassa, a service for accepting online and offline payments for stores, websites, and other platforms.
