The Kroger logo, representing an American supermarket chain, consists of a blue wordmark and the Fresh Cart brand symbol. The brand name is set in a large, bold sans-serif typeface with rounded forms. The upper diagonal stroke of the K extends upward into a tall rounded curve that arches over the following letters, while the lowercase g has a long descender forming a broad rounded loop below the baseline. These details make the Kroger lettering distinctive and maintain a connection with earlier versions of the brand mark. In 2019, the company updated the logo while retaining its basic form and signature blue color. An all-white version is also used on dark backgrounds. In 2021, the Fresh Cart symbol was introduced in the form of a shopping cart with two wheels. Inside it are three triangles that together form half of a citrus fruit. The symbol can be used on its own or together with the Kroger name.
