The Frosch logo, representing the household products brand, consists of a green frog above a red name. The frog faces forward, with rounded eyes projecting above its broad head, front legs extending outwards and a white area defining its body. The word MARKE sits beneath the figure, followed by a large serif Frosch wordmark. The name means “frog” in German, directly connecting the illustration with the brand’s name. The green frog has accompanied the brand since its launch in 1986. White details separate parts of the figure in the color version, while the red lettering stands out beneath the green symbol.
Frosch is a German brand owned by Werner & Mertz in Mainz. Its first product in 1986 was Neutral Cleaner, a phosphate-free all-purpose cleaner with plant-based ingredients. The range later expanded to include dishwashing liquids, glass, kitchen and bathroom cleaners, laundry products, soap and body care products. In developing its products, the company focuses on plant-based formulas, recycled plastic and packaging recyclability. In 2022, Werner & Mertz introduced an updated international label design developed with Dragon Rouge: information about environmental properties was moved to the front of the packaging, with photographs and plant elements added to the design.
