The Persil logo, representing Henkel’s laundry care brand, consists of a red name with a large initial P followed by lowercase letters. Thick, rounded strokes form a unified horizontal wordmark, with no separate graphic emblem in this version. A round dot sits above the i, and the tall l completes the name on the right. The red lettering can be used on its own against a white background, as on the brand’s website. The name Persil comes from the names of two ingredients in the original product: perborate and silicate. On packaging, the name appears alongside images of capsules, granules and other design elements specific to each product line.
Persil is a laundry care brand from the German company Henkel, launched in 1907. Its original formula released oxygen during washing and reduced the need to scrub laundry by hand. The brand later developed different detergent formats: it introduced a phosphate-free formula in 1986, a liquid detergent in 1987 and concentrated Megaperls in 1994. Pre-dosed capsules and multi-chamber Discs also joined the range. The “Lady in White,” introduced in 1922, became a historic advertising figure for the brand. Persil is one of the key brands of Henkel Consumer Brands and offers products for different laundry care needs. Henkel’s international version retains its own red wordmark.
