The logo of the Aldi Nord retail chain begins with the letter A, formed by composite ribbons in shades of light blue and blue: two side ribbons are arranged “roof‑like” at an angle and curve inward at the base, while a middle ribbon, acting as a crossbar, connects them and completes the letter’s shape. Below the letter is a blue rectangle, into which the brand name is inscribed in white uppercase bold sans‑serif letters. Around the entire logo is a thin red square frame, bounding the composition. The current version of the logo is used in the countries where Aldi Nord operates and emphasizes the recognizability of this branch, distinct from the visual style of Aldi Süd.
Aldi Nord is one of the two independent branches of the Aldi retail chain, serving northern Germany and foreign markets such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. The company is distinguished by its discounter format: minimalist store design, low overhead, and focus on private label goods. The branch also includes the American chain Trader Joe’s. In recent years, Aldi Nord has undertaken store modernization efforts (the ANIKo program) and strengthened its presence in international markets.
