The Alfa Romeo logo is a circular emblem presented in a monochrome version: black or white, depending on the background. It retains all the key elements of the original symbol: the name ALFA ROMEO around the circle, the red cross of Saint George (Milan’s coat of arms) on the left, and the stylized biscione snake on the right — the emblem of the Visconti noble family. Even without color, this version remains easily recognizable thanks to its distinctive composition and shape. The monochrome logo is officially used in digital environments, on the company’s website, and in print and advertising materials, as it ensures versatility, visual clarity, and readability. The color version with the green snake and red cross is still used — mainly on the vehicles and branded products.
Alfa Romeo was founded in Milan in 1910 under the name A.L.F.A. (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili). A few years later, the surname of engineer and entrepreneur Nicola Romeo was added after he acquired the company. From the beginning, Alfa Romeo has been associated with distinctive style and racing spirit, winning motorsport titles including the first-ever World Championship in 1925. Today the brand is part of the Stellantis group, producing models such as the Giulia, Stelvio, Tonale, and the 33 Stradale supercar. The company is committed to electrification while maintaining its signature traits — driving dynamics, Italian design, and passion admired worldwide.
